Besides the card board box being recycled, what about the installation, can it be recycled ? I can use the ice packs for my camping cooler.

Jacqueline says:

The non-toxic, septic safe ice pack fluid can be drained, and the plastic can be recycled. You can also save and return your liners for $2 credit per liner. Email hello@hellofresh.com for more info!

DIY Cutlery

Tips & Tricks January 28, 2016

You know how the dryer eats socks, and you’re left with mismatched feet for the rest of your days? (Side note, I have a theory on this, comment for more details.)

Pam Rochester says:

I KNOW exactly where those socks go! They are eaten by the Tiffle Whiffle Piffle. This creature cleverly disguises itself as a dust bunny. They live under the dryer or the beds. They eat socks–preferably one from your favorite pair. The best protection for the socks is to put them in a lingerie bag before tossing into the washer and the dryer. Evidently, the Tiffle Whiffle Piffle cannot penetrate the bag’s net unless it has been carelessly secured. (Actually, the dryer is not the culprit–the washing machine is. The belt on my washer slipped its path. When I opened up the machine to replace the belt, I found about 5 dozen mismatched pair of socks.)

Genna says:

Thanks for sharing, Pam! I thought I was the only one who knew about the TWP, but it seems we’ve both been victims πŸ™‚

Miranda says:

That’s hilarious!! I am passing this along. Although TWP may be eating my socks I’m pretty sure my teenager’s socks just come to the laundry without a mate. I think they go on vacation under his/her bed.

Genna says:

Ah, the wonderful tropical island of UnderBed…I think that’s where the TWP vacations when the dryer is not in use!

Jessy says:

Can you eat off of them if you paint the upper part..?

Genna says:

It depends on what type of paint you use- just make sure to read the label carefully!

Linda says:

It sounds goofy, but we are an older couple, and have time to use a safety pin to keep our pairs together.

Genna says:

Thanks Linda, that is a GREAT tip! You’re outsmarting the dryer troll!

its the first time ive read this article, cute DIY..a way also for me to permanently match my forks and spoon with different color.

Genna says:

We are working on expanding our serving size flexibility, but in the mean time, we do have many happy single customers. They tell us that they appreciate the leftovers (everything freezes well)! Hope that helps! You can check out our upcoming classic box recipes here: http://bit.ly/1JuFYrc and our upcoming veggie box recipes here: http://bit.ly/1ZO9Ym6
