Serving Adventure in the Kitchen- Menu for Week of 9/7 September 1, 2015
Back-to-School lunches mean soggy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and four carrot sticks. Back-to-School dinners by HelloFresh are a whole other adventure! Next week, we’re taking you on a culinary journey around the world so sit back, relax, and keep your arms and legs inside the metaphorical vehicle at all times. Safety first!
Our first stop is Italy, where the Tower of Piza is leaning to get a better look at your plate. Italian-style meatloaf? The traditional treat from Grandma’s house is reinvented with a European twist- basil, sun-dried tomatoes, and garlic (of course), convey all the flavors of an adventure in Rome.
Moving on to the far East, we make a second stop in China. Our Chinese Black Bean Chicken is bursting with traditional Asian ingredients- water chestnuts, soy sauce, and Chinese five-spice! We would climb the Great Wall just to sneak a taste.
The last stop on our adventure today is Afghanistan. A delicious Afghan Red Lentil Soup in the Veggie Box is sure to leave you salivating. Seasoned with cumin and dried mint, the flavor combination will leave you truly believing you’ve hopped on a plane.
