I prefer soups with meat and tomatoes with a hearty broth. Of these four choices, the only one I would attempt to try would be the minestrone.

Jacqueline Parisi says:

Tom – I have a feeling this chicken soup would be right up your alley!

Joann says:

I love them all. Can they be sent to me already cooked

Glesi says:

Number 4 sounds and looks great, I would make that one for sure. Not into peas, so….the others are out…

Jacqueline Parisi says:

Feel free to omit peas from the minestrone, Glesi! Zucchini would taste great in its place.

Carol Waters says:

Wow! Great ideas. Keep ’em coming..

Yvonne says:

I LOVE beets! Always have. I didn’t know you could eat them raw ! Hmm. another veggie dip veggie possibility. Can’t wait to try the beet chips, and tart !

Jacqueline says:

Yvonne – The beet chips and tart are two GREAT choices. Let us know how they turn out!

Susan says:

I strongly dislike beets, hate them even. Please never send me any beets or recipes that include beets. Just about the only food I cannot tolerate.

Jordan Schultz says:

Jordan here, from the HelloFresh community team. Sorry to hear that, Susan! There’s no way to automatically set a preference to avoid a specific ingredient, I’m afraid. However, you can always see an ingredient list before you make meal choice.

Ilene says:

Hello, love all these ideas but especially the chips! I am not a fan of beets since childhood (my Mother served them pickled, ick!) but am willing to try again. So for the chips, are they raw when you put them on the cookie sheet? Or do you boil/roast them first as you described? Please advise, I’m buying some beets today!! Thanks!

Jacqueline says:

Hi Ilene – when you’re making chips, the beets should be raw! Then they’ll get nice and crisp in the oven 🙂

Nancy says:

This is a great article . Very thoughtful. Very Brilliant .

David says:

Beets are ALSO GREAT FOR LOWERING BLOOD PRESSURE! Just thought I’d add that 2 cents…

Jordan Schultz says:

They are indeed! Thanks for sharing, David.

Jackie Speck says:

Wow! Beets galore! A surprising bonus from Hello Fresh. Thanks!

TN says:

I love beets just plain, but thank you for the creative alternatives that I’d like to try too! Beet Brownies! who’da thunk!

Ilene Petty says:
