Oh, limes, how we love thee. Let us count the ways…

1. They add an extra “oomph” to plain old H2O

A kick of acidic tang is exactly what you need to elevate water from drab to fab and hydrate like a pro. And if you’re feeling fancy, try mixing things up with a raspberry, lime, and mint combo.

2. Whether you’re drinking it or not

DIY at its finest, don’t ya think?

3. They even make our dishes look Insta-worthy

4. While dishing out a hefty dose of Vitamin C

How hefty? 32% of your daily value of the immunity-boosting vitamin, to be exact.

5. They give us zest, which makes cooking so much more fun

Marinate meats, jazz up fish, stir into rice, put in pasta, bake into pies, brighten up vinaigrettes… okay, you get it. The possibilities are endless.

6. Without them, margaritas would be impossible

Every tried a margarita with lemon? Yea, we didn’t think so.

7. And Caipirinha’s? Forget about it.

Brazil’s beloved cocktail is made with a sweet rum called cachaça, sugar, ice, and fresh lime. Without the lime, it’s just “meh.”

8. Same with taco night

What would we do without these Coffee-Rubbed Steak Tacos or Roasted Cauliflower and Squash Tacos?

9. They smell amazing

Stinky kitchen? Slice up a lime, toss it in a pot with water, and simmer away. But don’t stray too far! Once that water evaporates, the lime slices can easily burn. You’ve been warned.

10. And occasionally make us feel like we’re on a tropical island

Especially when coconuts are involved.

I have more than 4 adults in my family. Can you accomodate? What if my friends come over? Ther are other considerations also.

Jordan Schultz says:

Hi Rudolph– Jordan, from our community team here. Unfortunately, our largest box serves four people, but we’re always looking to expand our flexibility. We’ll pass that along!

Christina Alexander says:

I always have limes on hand even though I have 2 lemon trees in the yard! The taste is completely different from other citrus and is great in iced tea.

Jacqueline says:

SO jealous of your lemon trees – sounds amazing!!

Received your meal plan from my adult daughter. She knew we, as seniors, find it’s too much trouble to make a balanced meal most days. Am enjoying the convenience of having my meals and ingredients pre-measured and delivered to my front door. Although it takes me a little longer in the kitchen, with everything at my fingertips and the unexpected flavors from all the enclosed ingredients, the time cooking turns into an adventure. I also like the idea that I add my own salt.

Jacqueline says:

Cooking is definitely an adventure, Marcia! And trust us, the more time you spend chopping, dicing, and slicing, the faster you’ll get — so keep it up!

Pat says:

I have been asking my waitress for lime in my water for years. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Started with sparkling water and found it was equally tasty in tap water. Don’t give me a lemon, LIME is the way to go! ! ! ! !

Jordan Schultz says:

We couldn’t agree more, Pat!
