LimeAid: How HelloFresh is Paying it Forward This #GivingTuesday December 1, 2020
At HelloFresh, we believe that feeding your family shouldn’t come at a great sacrifice. To support families in need, we created LimeAid: a giving program that, with your help, will lend a hand to those who need it most this holiday season.
Did you know that 54+ million Americans will experience food insecurity this year, including 18 million children? A staggering statistic, we know—which is why we’re always looking for the next way to give back. HelloFresh has already donated 4 million meals to food insecure individuals this year, but with your partnership, we can do more. The FreshFam is strong, generous, and powerful, and we want to use those traits to help those within our own community. Here’s how we can make a difference, together.
This #GivingTuesday, we’re introducing LimeAid: our newest giving program that allows us to pay it forward to the community on an individual level. We’re asking the HelloFresh community to help us give away a year’s-worth of HelloFresh meals to those who need it most. If you know of someone who could use some help putting nourishing meals on their table, you can nominate them for our LimeAid program by filling out this nomination form, where they’ll be entered for a chance to receive 6 months of free HelloFresh meals. In addition to jumpstarting our giving program with you, our internal Community Team will separately surprise several people per week from a collection of mutual aid communities with a free HelloFresh box.
We’ve taken on more responsibility this year to help fight food insecurity than ever before, and this #GivingTuesday, LimeAid will allow us to give back in a whole new way. Make sure you fill out our LimeAid nomination form if you know of someone who would be a good fit for our program.
If you’re looking for more ways to give back, you can also donate a meal by adding Meals with Meaning to your next order. Learn more about food insecurity and how you can help fight against it by checking out The Scary Reality of Food Insecurity.
