The Winner of Our Smoothie Bowl Challenge is… August 15, 2016
Now that our smoothie bowl challenge has come to a close, it’s time to show off your tropical masterpieces and announce the big winner!
We were BLOWN AWAY by all your tropical smoothie bowl submissions. If it was an Olympic sport, we’re pretty sure you would all win gold. Seriously. Your drool-worthy creations had us staring for an embarrassingly long time (while digging our toes into the imaginary sand wishing we were in Rio). But can you blame us? The bowls were topped high with intricately-carved kiwis, vibrant berries, and magazine-worthy drizzles of coconut milk.
And this one from @byyawan is a showstopper. It may look like pumpkin soup, but that enviable orange hue and creamy white drizzle come from two tropical gems: mango and coconut milk.
Side note: do you know how to cut a mango? Neither did we, until this handy guide came along.
Are you seeing what we’re seeing? Are those heart-shaped kiwis?! We’ve only got one word for you, @lublyou: stunning.
We can’t forget about our friends over at EatPops, either! They put their heads together to come up with a recipe using one of their very own cleansing frozen desserts. We’d #staycool any day with this bowl-tastic creation topped with banana coins, goji berries, chia seeds, pecans, and pomegranate seeds.
Speaking of superfoods, check out this superpost all about ’em!
But now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: the smoothie bowl that tops all smoothie bowls… drum roll, please…
CONGRATULATIONS, ASHLEY from @thestyledrealtor! Your bowl of morning goodness received the most amount of votes, and it’s easy to see why. This isn’t just a breakfast; it’s a work of art, and we bow down to your smoothie making skills.
Just because our smoothie bowl challenge is over doesn’t mean you should put away your blender, especially when turmeric is involved. Get all the deets about this super spice, including a healing smoothie recipe you’ll love.
Not a fan of turmeric? What about pineapple smoothie bowls? Yea, we thought so.
