Lazy? Easy Healthy Tips March 29, 2016
The word “lazy” has gotten such a bad wrap. The adjective has such a negative connotation, and people usually use it as an insult towards one another. When someone uses the word to describe you, you might take offense, but we’re here to tell you to OWN it. Bill Gates once said, “I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job, because they will find an easy way to do it.” Personally, I am thrilled to know that I may one day work for Bill Gates.
Sometimes people are lazy in very specific areas of their lives, because they deprioritize things they don’t want to do. Cooking is a huge victim of this! So many of us would rather spend time outside the kitchen snacking on junk, than making a home-cooked meal that they can be sure is healthy. The good news is, HelloFresh is here to help.
Swapping one thing for another is the quickest, easiest, and laziest way to inch your way towards being a little healthier. Here are some of our favorite ingredient switches:
- Replace pasta with grated veggies! Layer thin ribbons of zucchini in a lasagna to replace a traditional pasta like this delicious masterpiece. Use a spiralizer or grater to shred zucchini or carrots into noodles, boil them, and then add sauce.
- Replace all refined flours, rice, breads etc with their wholegrain counterpart. White breads and white flours lack nutritional value!
- And aren’t we all just too lazy to go to the grocery store? Long lines, endless searches, questionable produce…To be lazy AND satisfied, order a HelloFresh box! We do the shopping and planning for you, and our recipes are ready in as little as 30 minutes!
