Valentine’s Day: Cooking Together February 13, 2016

by How to cook

Consider this your 24 hour warning! Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and you need to be prepared. There are so many people in your life that love you, make sure to show them how much you care! It doesn’t have to be gifts or cheesy (yet hilarious!) cards from a store. It can be homemade gifts from the heart (like these love coupons), or a hand-written letter that expresses how you feel. This holiday is all about sharing love, so make sure whatever you do to celebrate, just make sure you’re spending time with the people you love.

Cooking together is one of our favorite ways to spend time together with loved ones. Making more than just a meal is what HelloFresh is all about! Whether you’re making dinner with a sweetheart, spouse, friend, or family, it is always fun to create something with the people you care about – and then enjoy the delicious results!

We took to social media to ask our friends to share their memories about love in the kitchen and were met with incredible responses! These stories truly prove the power of spending time together, learning together, and creating together.

One of our customers says,

“After our first date, I didn’t intend on a second with my now husband because we found out on that date that we were neighbors…three doors down.. (met on match, small world) for the next 6 months he would invite me over when he was cooking for friends and i slowly started to fall in love with him. We’ve always enjoyed cooking together and made date nights of it weekly. After a year and a half of dating we were cooking in my kitchen one night and he asked me to grab the bottle of wine- when I took it out of the bag, he had written “turn around darlin” in sharpie on the bottle, I turned around to find him on one knee smile emoticon We were married this last November and enjoy cooking delicious meals in our kitchen four nights a week thanks to Hello Fresh!”HF_veggie_of_the_week_Beet_690x460px_UK_US_AU_2

Another says, “I fell in love in the kitchen the day I realized I could cook healthy food and that it could taste good too!” We understand that!
