When we set out to revamp the Family Plan, our first step was to consult the experts. And by experts, we mean parents. But since those little ones have big opinions, we also spent time researching and testing what cuisines and ingredients kids tend to like. And in the process, we learned A LOT. Like, for example, the fact that…

  • Mexican cuisine reigns supreme
  • Build-your-own-meals win
  • Crispy-textured foods are the safest bet
  • And perhaps most surprisingly … pork is the top protein

In fact, 65% of respondents rated pork recipes as #1, which is more than 10% higher than the amount who chose chicken breast or steak recipes. That’s why you’ll find at least one pork dish on each Family menu. Because when the kids tell us they love it, we listen.

Below are five of our favorite upcoming kid-friendly recipes with pork that run the gamut from Italian pasta dishes to fruit-filled burgers. Get ready to hear even the pickiest of eaters ask for seconds.

It’s comfortingly classic without being boring, and the kids will love it. It’s on the menu the week of September 16 – September 22, but you can snag a peek at the recipe here.

And don’t tell the kids this, but it also adds a sunshine-y blast of vitamin C. Get the recipe here and watch this video for proof of how quick and easy the meal comes together.
