5 Reasons NOT To Order Next Week’s Dinner 2 Lunch™ Recipe August 30, 2018

by Eat

You may have heard the hype around HelloFresh’s weekly Dinner 2 Lunch™ recipes — ya know, the whole 2-in-1, deliciously efficient, cook once eat twice schpeal. But before you order next week’s Sausage Pizza Dinner and Veggie-Loaded Pasta Lunch, make sure you know exactly what you’re getting yourself into…

1. There’s a chance the lunch might not make it to the next day.

Because sure, the sausage pizza is for dinner. But the pasta will be right there, and how can anyone in their right mind resist a taste test (or two, or three)? So who even knows if the lunch will still be in the fridge when you wake up the next morning? Your sneaky roommate, husband, or kids may get to it first.

2. You’ll have too much free time on your hands.

Cooking once and eating twice just doesn’t add up. What are you going to do with all that extra time? Relaxing wasn’t on your to-do list!

3. You won’t get to wait in line at your go-to lunch spot.

No, you’ll be too busy downing the colorful, veggie-loaded pasta to even think about waiting-in-line small talk… or tuna melts.

4. Your coworkers will be angry that you have a better lunch than them.

And they’ll definitely give you side-eye when you pull the deliciously cheesy, al dente pasta out of the microwave — and you don’t want to get on their bad side.

5. Your friends will get tired of hearing you rant and rave about it.

“WE GET IT,” they’ll tell you. “You’re killin’ it in the kitchen, and Dinner 2 Lunch™ is waaaaay better than leftovers, and blah, blah, blah. Stop bragging. You’re insulting my already sad desk lunch.”

But maybe you don’t need those kinds of friends in your life? Maybe you SHOULD order next week’s Dinner 2 Lunch™ recipe… and the one after that, and the one after that. Because this back-to-school season, you’re the one in charge, and YOU make the rules.

Hi Judy– Unfortunately, not at the moment, but we’re passing that feedback along to our culinary team.
