Turmeric & Mango Juice Smoothie November 24, 2015
With days to go before the upcoming holiday season, we’re here to support your goals of staying fit and healthy while still enjoying yourself. With tables upon tables filled with tempting treats, and invites to countless dinner parties flooding your inbox, just make sure you’re focused on balancing your plate. Now, because we know that attempt will fail (although set forth with good intentions!), we want to set you up for success immediately following your holiday binge. Introducing our “post- stuffed with stuffing,” “after thirds and fourths,” “I’m sorry I couldn’t help myself” “repair the damage” smoothie. Or, for short- a Turmeric & Mango Juice Smoothie.
Now, you know by now that we are food nuts (pun intended!). Our in-house Registered Dietitian, Rebecca, is constantly pushing us to make healthier choices. When we simply can’t say no to a delicious Thanksgiving meal, however, we turn to methods of repair. Smoothie and Juice cleanses are trending right now, but the health benefits are real. A little bit of everything you need in one glass- the smoothie approach of blending together nutrients is the simplest, most delicious way to get your vitamins and boost your immune system as well as your metabolism. Bring it on!
Turmeric & Mango Juice Smoothie
Ingredients
- Juice from 1 orange
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 peaches, pits removed
- 1 half a mango
- 1 tbps finely grated fresh ginger
- 1 heaped Tbsp wheat germ
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 heaped tbsp natural yoghurt
- 2 tbsp honey
- Handful of ice cubes
Instructions:
- Plonk all the ingredients into a blender & blend until everything is combined to your desired consistency. Serve in a chilled glass.
