Trail Mix…great idea for healthy everyday lunch box snacks AND for a road trip! Thanks for the healthy Trail Mix snack recipe! I am definitely trying your recipe very, very soon! And I love the idea of putting portioned out Trail Mix into decorated little paper bags, all tied up with twine! Thanks so much for the yummy inspiration! I can see myself using my rubber stamps and inks and creating Trail Mix Snack Bags for…hostess gifts, to have on hand for my grandchildren, for my husband’s work lunch box, for when my crafting friends come over on Friday night and more! I just love your Hello Fresh blog and Hello Fresh boxes for meals!

All these look amazing. I have never tried it. I Love guacamole. And I picked a few things that I thought we might like. Does everything come with the meal? Or do you have to purchase some of it?

Jordan Schultz says:

Hi Gussie– Everything will be delivered with the box! All you need to provide are the pantry items (salt, pepper, butter, and oiL).

We had several hard boiled eggs left over from Easter 2019. I will replace the egg yolk with the suggested guacamole and serve them at dinner tonight. Thank you.

Mea Cadwell says:

I grew up in the south. If you add anything to basic guacamole it becomes “guac salad” or “guac salsa”. Just wanted to let you know

Lynn says:

I used to use onions in guac … until I came across the Trader Joe’s guac kit (no longer available), which uses shallots instead. All the flavor but subtler and with a bit less bite. Also, better sized for smaller amounts of guac! I think this would be a good change for HF to make to its kits. Also, coarsely chopping the avocados, rather than mashing them, works well, too, especially if they’re riper (when they will naturally have some softer, creamier parts).

Another twist on the original: My best friend often adds finely chopped turkey pastrami. Sounds a bit weird but it’s wonderful!

C. A. Bell says:

While I have enjoyed Hello Fresh immensely, I am needing to cancel my account due to various reasons, one being health related. I will not go into detail but this will create complications with my schedule and life. Thus, I must cancel.

I love drizzly homemade peanut butter! It’s seriously the bomb dot com – the packaged stuff just doesn’t even compare. I have been trying to talk myself out of buying a food processor for myself, but I think this post really tips the scales… I could have homemade PB all the time! Magical.
