EAT (RED) SAVE LIVES with Celebrity Chefs this June May 29, 2017
We’ve always believed home-cooking improves lives, but thanks to the next four weeks of (RED) Chef Ambassador recipes from Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse, Rachael Ray, and Carla Hall, we’ll be able to do more: join together to make a meaningful impact in the fight against AIDS.
It’s not every day that we get to partner with a hugely impactful organization like (RED), so as you can imagine, we’ve excitedly planned for a full month of delicious recipes, ways to learn more about (RED)’s work, and easy fundraising opportunities to help fight for a world where no baby is born with HIV.
With (RED) Chef Ambassadors on board to help make that goal a reality, our June menus are stacked with a star-studded option every single week. Helping others isn’t always this delicious, but that’s what you get when you mix HelloFresh, (RED), and four celebrity chefs.
So, order, cook, and enjoy these specially crafted dishes and learn more or donate at HelloFresh.com/RED. After all, you’re a key ingredient in the fight against AIDS.
First up. . .
Mario Batali’s Spaghetti with Fresh Tomatoes, Chorizo, and Basil
June 3 – June 9
As Mario says, “isn’t it delicious when good food does great things?” We completely agree. You can even watch him cook this 20-minute masterpiece while you whip it up at home and follow along, step by step. You’ll hear from him about his experiences heading up the campaign with (RED), and get his pro tips as he makes the recipe.
Here’s just a few words of Mario wisdom (don’t worry, you can hear the rest in the video):
- In the restaurant world, ‘86’ means that something is completely gone from the menu. That’s why we say that the EAT (RED) SAVE LIVES campaign seeks to #86AIDS… we want to eliminate it completely for the next generation.
- You can actually utilize every ingredient you get in your HelloFresh delivery — even the basil stems after you pluck off the leaves. Chop the stems up and cook them with the chorizo for more intense flavor.
- Even the pros reference the instructions on the box when it comes to cooking spaghetti, so there’s no shame in sticking to the recipe card as you cook to taste.
- The amazingly juicy cherry tomatoes add a burst of very appropriate red to this dish. Whenever you add them in a recipe, add a little salt and pepper, too.
Emeril Lagasse’s Herby Dijon Chicken Breast with Zucchini and Red Potatoes
June 10 – June 16
You’re already making dinner — make an impact while you’re at it.
Rachael Ray’s Grilled Buffalo Chicken with Carrot-Celery Slaw and Mashed Taters
June 17- June 23
A kick of spice, a welcome crunch, and a plate full of pure goodness.
Carla Hall’s Summery Lemon Chicken with Tarragon Chimichurri
June 24 – June 30
You can bet we’re turning the flavor up a few notches for this refreshing, can’t-miss finale.
